Rotary Am Kap was chartered in 2009 by a group of Cape Town residents with international connections. To this day, all club members have an international background with strong personal or business ties to organisations and Rotary Clubs overseas and within our District.

As a club, Rotary Am Kap has established itself as a reliable and well-informed local partner for Rotary Clubs, particularly those from Germany and Austria, which are keen to fund and develop projects in the Cape Town area. To date, Rotary Am Kap has been involved in Global Grants and funding initiatives amounting to over Euro 1 Million.

The focus of Rotary Am Kap’s project work is on education, from the establishment of a thriving, state-of-the-art ECD centre to partner with local Kindergartens and supporting students in secondary education. Sustainability is key, and we are proud that together with our partner Rotary Clubs, we have
been able to empower local educators to continue providing a solid basic education for thousands of underprivileged children.

The men and women of Rotary Club Am Kap enjoy each other’s company in regular fellowship events, and all are active in the club’s annual Garden Party Fundraiser.

We meet twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Thursday at 18h00 for 18h30 at the Cape Milner Hotel in Tamboerskloof, with the option to join online via Zoom. Guests are always welcome!
