Welcome to the Rotary Club am Kap (Cape Town)
Are you an established professional who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world? Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship. Have a look here for our current projects and if you are interested, visit our club here! Becoming a Rotarian connects you with a diverse group who share your drive to give back.

The Rotary year 2020/2021 has drawn to a close. Congratulations are in order to the four presidents who held the fort and the board who had stayed on for a second term.

We, the two new presidents of RC Am Kap for 2021/2022 would like to introduce ourselves. We are Mechtild Braxmeier, a past president of the club and Anneliese Brandt, a member of some years standing but president for the first time, actually co-president in this case.

A little information about the new year: We will continue to have bi-monthly zoom meetings and reassess meeting in person again in September.
A board consisting of 7 members will meet every second month and report to the club thereafter.

Our Interact club is working hard on their projects in spite of lost school days and the constraints that covid has brought with it.
We will also look into the feasibility to starting a fledgling Rotaract club.

We hope to increase our membership numbers this year and have in fact just ‘acquired’ a new member!

We will continue to support our ongoing projects with the focus still on early learning, and will also introduce a few new ones.

We receive much of our funding from our partner clubs in Germany and Austria and are extremely greatful to them as this allows us to be more ambitious in our projects. Our own main fundraising has been stymied by covid as it involves bringing people together for a fun day.

Please continue to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn as we intend posting events to keep you informed about our club.
