The Cape Argus Fundraiser Challenge: 109 kilometeres for the Masibathande Education Centre

Christoph Bäumer Cape Argus ChallengeOn 10th March 2013 Christoph Bauemer  treasurer of the Rotary Club “Am Kap” will be taking part in the greatest cycle race in the world ,The Cape Argus in an effort to raise money for our Rotary Club’s children’s project the Kindergarten of Masibathande. We are looking for sponsors to support this achievement to the tune of Euro 50.00 or R 500.00  for every kilometre Christoph rides. Each cycled kilometre will mean money for the project, please sponsor him and make each kilometre count for the children of Masibathande.

Christoph says, “For years it was my dream to take part in the Cape Argus in Cape Town. In 2008 I was able to realise my dream for the first time and since then I take part with heart & soul. It is an amazing feeling to cycle between the 2 oceans , experiencing the unique scenery and all of Nature’s beauty… it give me goose bumps, every time.

This year I would like to use the race to generate money for our Kindergarten Masibathande.

In 2011 Christoph Peterka ran the 2 Oceans Marathon and though his sponsored kilometres he was able to raise R50 000.00 for the Rotary Club Am Kap which was invested in a local Rotary Waterproject. That gave me the idea to “sell” my 109 cycled kilometres to sponsors in the same way. I am sure I will be able to ride the steep mountain passes with ease knowing that I do so for the children of Masibathande.  Please help us to support this wonderful Kindergarten  Project.”

My heartfelt thanks.
