Jetting off to Germany

Digital StillCameraSiyabulela Boto and Kabelo Mphephu have been selected to go to Germany in June on an all-expenses paid trip and will be hosted by a family there. Kabelo said that when she received the news she was jogging on a treadmill and nearly fell off. ‘It kind of feels unreal right now.’ she says. ‘This has made me realise that I don’t have to limit myself in terms of how far I can go in life.’ ‘For me’, says Siya, ‘It is a new chapter in my life. I was very excited at first and couldn’t believe it. I see the trip as a stepping stone in my life to discover new backgrounds and new customs. I am taking this experience to develop myself and the people around me.’ The School wishes to extend a huge thank you to the German speaking Rotary Club am Kap for creating this wonderful opportunity. We know our learners will do us proud as ambassadors. Maxine Fraser, Sea Point High School
