Hartenberg Wine Estate

We couldn’t have chosen a better day!

Brilliant sunshine in Cape Town and of course the temperature rose in the winelands. Cabriolets were given an airing and sunscreen and hats were in good supply.

At Hartenberg we not only found a shady place to park but also our Rotary tables were set out under large shady oaks. Members brought along their partners, spouses and family, plenty of space for everyone and picnic rugs for the children. The picnic baskets were plentiful with homemade chutney, tapanades and breads; a cheese & cold meat platter rounded off the meal. Of course there was plenty of wine and despite the heat some partook of a red wine tasting too.

It was a beautiful setting and a leisurely afternoon in great company, everyone had time to chat, exchange ideas and catch up with friends. Thank you Heidi for organising the day for us.
